'One size fits all' ...but aren't you unique?

Diet myth #10 One size fits all...but maybe not you!

One plan fits all are scams

We've been put into little boxes: one fashion style, one diet method, one exercise type, one set of healthy rules apparently suits all.

Being Body-Wise
honors your uniqueness

Whatever happened to honouring our unique body shape or needs? Are you seriously trying to tell me that one way of eating suits everyone??? C'mon, let's get real.

I remember the healthy diet club I lectured for. From a food and eating point of view it was a healthy weight loss plan. It followed the food pyramid, more than enough to eat and no periods of starvation.

I thought I'd finally discovered Nirvana!

But here came the problem - it was a one size fits all approach because it wasn't body wise. What happened on the days when I'd eaten enough, but I hadn't eaten everything they said 'I had to'? If it isn't tailored to your unique body needs - don't do it. Stop dieting even if it appears healthy.

I'm not saying don't sign up for one of these slimming clubs that advocates the food pyramid and healthy food preparation, I know I'm eternally grateful for the healthy eating habits I learned there. Only don't do it with the goal of losing weight - do it with the goal of educating yourself about healthy eating habits.

Then, once you're savvy about healthy eating, ditch even that healthy diet and become bodywise - because that's how you'll live naturally and become your natural size.

Being Shape-Wise honors you

While the fashion industry tries to box us into the one size fits all size 4's, 6's, 10's etc... The real truth is there are as many shapes and sizes as there are bodies, even though looking at glossy magazines might make you feel as if this isn't true.

Now I can tell you why Sports Illustrated isn't knocking my door down trying to get my photograph for their bikini calendar...not only because I'm not too thin or even skinny, but I also don't have the apparently desirable Goddess X shape (matching hip and breast measurements with a small waist).

No, I have an H-shaped body. I really fit into mens' jeans better than womens because I was standing in the wrong line when they handed out waists.

Then you get those who have A shapes - genetically their hips and buttocks are bigger than their tops. They can do what they like and that isn't going to change. And what about those who are Y-shaped - bigger breasts and smaller hips?

What are we to do - hate ourselves because we don't all fit the one size fits all X's? I think not. Our Creator made us unique and different and wonderful because of our differences. Ditch that diets, live body-wise and arrive at the size and shape-wise that suits your uniqueess.

Being Worth-Wise

We have to wise-up and become worth-wise. By that I mean we have to realize we are as deserving of happiness and feeling fabulous no matter where our shape or size fit the one size fits all cultural norm.

Nowhere in any holy text that I've ever seen have I found any specific commandments that go anything like: "Though shalt have x, y and z measurements and weight x in order to be accepted into the Kingdom of Worthiness."

By the way, I researched and researched ways to have an online business and where it kept leading me was back to one place... Ken Envoy's Sitesell. My research was good - Ken consistently over-delivers and if you're looking for simply the best website hosting and optimization tools out there.... look no further, click here to see if it would benefit you
