Forget a Body Makeover - you need a Mind Makeover

The goal is to change your body
The focus has to be a
mind makeover
rather than body makeover because a diet mentality and emotional eating are controlled in your head. And if you don't believe me ask people who've been for: bariatric surgery, mini-gastric bypass surgery or lap-band surgery how difficult it was to handle their stress eating without a mental makeover. Reputable weight loss surgeons recognize this and insist patients see a therapist for at least a year before and after the surgery. You can change your body all you want, using whatever weight loss system or weight loss products you like, but unless you have increased your mental fitness, it won't be easy... nor will it be sustainable. That's why the Mind over Fatter program focuses on the mind. But, when your 'mind gets over fatter,' your body can follow effortlessly. Do it the other way round and you're fighting a constant losing battle. Once you master your mind - you won't need weight loss surgery or fast weight loss schemes because you'll be able to stop dieting easily. Emotional eating - What's eating you?
Emotional eating
is only a symptom of underlying pain. So advertisements for products that 'take away your hunger for 4 hours' are a farce. We need to honour our hunger not 'take it away.'
When I was swallowing diet pills as if they were M&M's - they took away my physical hunger, but they did nothing to take away my heart hunger. They didn't help me deal with the feelings that gnawing away at me.
And let's just pretend to live in the Land-of-Make-Believe and say they had been able to remove my emotional hunger too... um... small problem - I'd have to take them forever because I'd have no reason to grow or change. Great for the weight loss industry, but not great for my health or my pocket.
Stress eating is just you body trying to get your attention. It's no use dealing with the symptom instead of tackling the underlying cause.
