Healthy Body Image, Self Esteem and The Role your Mind Plays
We assume that a healthy body image is the automatic result of being thin, but if that were the case, models and other thin icons would have a good body image and self esteem. They'd be well-balanced, psychologically healthy and secure people...which they aren't. 
But looking at advertisements, we're sold the idea that along with losing weight comes a healthy body image and self esteem. Only that's not entirely true. We might have a temporary improvement in our emotional wellness but, if you're a repeat dieter you'll know that it doesn't seem to last. And here's what lies at the crux of a desire to lose weight: What we're really looking for is the happiness and contentment that losing weight is apparently going to bring us. But when we place our emphasis on attaining a healthy mind (rather than focusing on weight loss itself), even without any weight loss our lives improve dramatically. That's precisely why we call our program MIND over Fatter. And that's why part of my vision for making the ditch-diets- live-light website a top loss site is that it has a holistic approach which incorporates a healthy body image and self esteem as being absolutely central to our happiness with life.
