Eating For Energy - Raw Food Diet for Weight Loss


Eating healthy and eating less are the two things we most hear when it comes to weight loss. Yet at the same time, if you really look at what's in those diet products lining pharmacy shelves, there's absolutely nothing healthy about them. Many diet foods are blatantly unhealthy and much of the food heavily advertised is fun food but hardly healthy food.

And with as much fast food around as what there is, eating healthy can be a real challenge in this world of ours where rush, grab 'n go seem to be the pace. It's no wonder that disordered eating is so prevalent. Sometimes it's severe enough to manifest as an eating disorder and other times it manifests as obesity and/or health problems.

And of course 'what' foods are considered to be healthy is a forever moving goalpost which so much conflicting 'research' that it's a minefield. Speak to the Atkins crowd and they'll tell you low carb and high protein is healthy. Speak to the Slimfast bunch and they'll tell you their meal replacements are packed with nutrients and so on.

Because the ditch-diets-live-light site aims to be atop weight loss site, we need to discuss not only the 'how' of eating but also how easily we can turn to disordered eating and eating disorders.
